I want to send a HUGE congratulations to our entire Westdale Team for an outstanding effort at today’s Fortino’s Fundraiser. I have just heard the final tally of our efforts.

The final amount today: A whopping $3562.40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is beyond successful and is the result of your efforts today in smiling, in chatting with people and in being proud of what you do each morning. The generosity of not only our parents and friends who contributed to today, but also the generosity of the community, happened BECAUSE of your enthusiasm! Today is a credit to you all. I want you to be proud of this effort—it was gargantuan!

For those not there at the end, in what I consider to be the epitome of a TEAM effort, we finished with 83,015 metres. That’s 83 kilometres on the erg that you all contributed to! To give you an idea, just for fun I went on Google Maps. Woodstock is 77 kilometres from Fortino’s and Canada’s Wonderland is 84km. So you guys erged a LONG way!!!
