The holiday portion of our season ended this morning and we look forward to seeing you on Monday morning at 6:30 (assuming the weather holds up–as always, I will inform via the blog at 6:05am if there is a snow day!)
We saw a number of you over the break. Some of you, we didn’t see. Testing starts the first day back, so hopefully those of you we didn’t see over the break were able to keep up your training and at least maintain your fitness from where you were when we left off.
We’ll do some prep work on Thursday & Friday for the Leander Indoors. If you haven’t done so but are planning to race, please get your entries in.
If you get a chance, have a look at the website taliskerwhiskyatlanticchallenge.com This is the website of an annual rowing race ACROSS THE ATLANTIC! (Yes, THAT Atlantic. The ocean!) They race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands, to English Harbour, Antigua, a distance of about 4800 kilometres. (For the record, you’ll be happy to note that this event is currently NOT on our racing schedule!!!). It’s quite a fascinating undertaking by all the teams participating…on so many levels. Makes our 30 and 45-minute ergs pretty meek and mild in comparison!
