First, congratulations on the final Fortino’s fundraiser! I will let you know what the final tally is as soon as I know, but things were clicking along nicely today it seemed, with all tills having one of our rowers! The engagement with the community was awesome and I heard a lot of questions. Well done! The generosity of the community astounds me every time!

Below are details on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Note, there is one novice off for each of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. These are based on band requirements, plus those who have some experience rowing. Any questions, please ask.

MONDAY
We will start at 7AM. We will go through the process of putting boats on the water and all the prep required. Those procedures are:
–prepare coach boats;
–get oars out;
–a QUICK warmup featuring lunge/twist walks;
–hands on the boat you’re assigned to;
–put it on stretchers and do a quick check of nuts and bolts;
–launch boats!
When we come back in, the reverse happens, except that all boats need to be cleaned with soap inside and out and quickly washed off. After the boat is put away, we’ll debrief for three minutes, then do sprints in the park.
(Not to experienced rowers: Mac rigged the Bailey today. If the Love is not rigged, I would like this rigged at some point Monday)
We MAY push off the dock on Monday and row a little bit. It all depends on who is registered and what the weather is like. If the weather isn’t great, we will try to do some dockside instruction where the novices can actually sit in a boat. It will be a very helpful day for all of us.
