WOMEN’S WORKOUT: 10 X 70 STROKE PIECES WITH 1′ OFF IN BETWEEN. RATING 32 FOR EACH PIECE. (PLEASE HIT THE REQUIRED RATES. IF YOUR COX BOX DOESN’T HAVE A RATE, THERE ARE SURGE COACHES IN THE LOCKER)
I will only be there on Friday morning this week due to work in Toronto. If you have your spring fees ($125), please give it to Mike, or wait until Friday. I should also be getting the trailer costs from Jake, so expect the Bennett invoices soon after that. All other regattas are covered by your spring fees. Note that Mothers Day entries alone are over $2000 and Welland is expected to be close to that…..so that will give you an idea of how much fundraising $$$ will be covering off the actual costs of our racing.
For Wednesday, Jake will be going out with Mike to look at the rigging on both the Griffiths and the Wolter. He will want to set you up so that the feet are farther forward, which will make the catch longer and the finish shorter. When the boat is on stretchers, please set your feet up this way. A good barometer is if the seat come all the way past the pin at the front of the slide. Take into account your flexibility. If you have full and complete progression, don’t put the feet too far forward. If your compression is minimal, then you’ll need to put your feet a long way forward and move the slide rails.
There are 26 days left in the season–no matter what happens, we are finished on June 2nd. Let’s make each practice the BEST practice we can! Nothing to hold back now, folks—it’s time to just go for it!
